![]() It is better to harvest early, allowing the majority of the field to continue to grow while you pick the first plants and getting the majority of the crop off the field. Once it hits 32 and water freezes the party is over. Watch the temperature during late summer, early autumn, and autumn. Try and also locate the farmers house near the field so they don't have to go far.ĩ- Don't be afraid to "harvest" fields early. The entire field can be cut for wood and re-planted with another 3 year wait for yields.Ĩ- You can adjust the number of farmers and you do not always need the recommended amount based on the field size, experiment and find the best number based on the crop and the distance to the nearby barn. The first year or second year of yield will typically be the best as the trees get older they degrade and die. Orchard fruits take 3 years to grow and produce a yield. Over time you will add more seeds and have more labor to farm. As your town gets larger, building smaller fields to fill in available space is easy and can be more efficient. When you first start out, start with big fields, growing a single crop because you likely have only one or two seeds. Learn your crops and grow what grows best. X can then be multiplied by up to 4 for each villager you assign to each fishing post. X is a function of how much water area there is in the radius of the fishing dock and if any other fishing/bridges/tradeposts exist in that area as these reduce the fishable area. ![]() Adding more than 2 hunters per lodge is a waste.Ĥ- Fishing docks are very linear food generators, each location will provide X amount per year. Another 2 months have to pass before another deer can be taken per lodge which if successful each time yield 1200 for the year. ![]() Each time a deer is taken, 200 food units are taken. At least 1 can always be located the first year you setup a town.Ģ- It is better to have 2 gathering huts with 1 villager working each than 2 villagers working 1 hut.ģ- Hunting lodges will produce a maximum of 1200 units of food per year. They can produce prolific foodstuffs for the smallest labor. ![]() If you find any posts or comments that are abusive, revealing personal information, and not related to the game or the subreddit, please report them immediately and message the mods.ġ- In the early years, the gatherer hut gives you the best bang for the buck for food production.
